The Big Decision!!

Ron and I made a decision early in 2015 that he would retire in 2016 and we would hit the road and travel as full timers.  Tossed around what to do with the farm.....sell, rent, let Amy stay or what.  Kept getting the same advice from all the full timers we met and that was to sell so you can enjoy and not worry about back home.

We closed on the farm January 7, 2016. Ron retired Feb. 1 but took vacation starting in January.

Started the adventure down at Matagorda with friends and family.  We started our first volunteer job at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park in Stonewall, TX.  This is an awesome, beautiful place.  I have really had to read and study to become a park interpreter.  We will be here for 3 months.  Have met some really great folks here and best of all, we have had the time to really have fun and get to know this area, instead of just passing through.

Amazingly enough when we pulled out, the odometer said 10,000 miles.  Good bye farm!
