Sunday, June 14, 2015 - Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

I think we have the best campsite!  (Site 7B is the best site for a large rig).

Drove the south Rim Drive. Gunnison Point, Pulpit Rock Overlook, Chasm View and Painted Wall View were awesome.  This place became a national park in 1999.

Headed for Gunnison after lunch as Amy has a flight out at 5. Beautiful drive. Blue Mesa Reservoir is huge. Quite a few campgrounds in the national forest along the way.  Went to a really good ranger program in the evening.  Gave the park history and talked about bears.  Made a campfire to warm up and Aiden roasted us marshmellows.

Holding on to Aiden cause it's a long way down there!
