Traveling the Denali Highway!

Unbelievable! Day 88, June 19. The first 20 miles of the Denali Highway from Paxson has not disappointed.  Beautiful, amazing views of the Alaskan Range.  Some good pictures of the Gulkona Glacier.  We found a campsite beside Tangle Creek in the Tangle Lakes BLM Campground. Love to hear the rushing water!

Having to use the mosquito tent a lot lately!

The lupines are just beautiful!

A feast for your eyes!

Day 89, June 20, found the Rambler continuing to drive the Denali Highway and the Alaskan tundra. The highway was paved further than we expected. The views were beautiful! The Alaska Range is a wow factor. Seeing the glaciers is always a memory maker!  The McLaren Glacier and river were beautiful to behold! We stopped for the night at milepost 94.5, a very scenic spot. It's down a short drive from the road, so no dust or road noise.  The views here are amazing. We're looking at the Westfork Glacier and the Susitna Glacier. And, last but not least, so thankful we brought along our quick assembly mosquito room!  These skeeters are quite annoying!

There's the road less traveled - the Denali Highway

A campsite with a great view!

The rivers are so wide and silty

Day 90, June 21, we finished driving the Denali Highway. This was the most amazing drive ever!  We have a couple of days to entertain ourselves with before we enter into Denali Park for that adventure. See you then.
